Flights of Fun Family Programs

 

Join us for a variety of family friendly, social distanced activities every weekend as well every school holiday and vacation.

Flights of Fun Family Programs are included with general admission and schedules are subject to change.

 

Facilitated Activities:

Open Aircraft

10:30am-2:30pm

Climb inside a historic aircraft and learn the fundamentals of flight with NEAM volunteers. Visitors will be required to use hand sanitizer prior to participating in this activity

Flight Science Demonstrations

11:00am, 12:00pm, 1:00pm, 2:00pm

Discover the science of flight with social distanced demonstrations. This activity is best for visitors ages 5 and older.

Build and Fly Challenges

10:30am-2:30pm

: Hands-on, make and take activities for youth and families led by the NEAM Public Programs Team. Visitors are encouraged to use hand sanitizer prior to participating.


Self-Guided Activities:

Aircraft Quest Scavenger Hunts

9:00am-4:00pm

Explore the museum using our Aircraft Scavenger Hunts! Visitors who stop by the Admissions Desk on their way out to share something they learned will receive a prize from our Wings 'n Things Gift Shop.

Kidsport Exhibit

10:00am-3:00pm

Enjoy a fun photo op with family in our children's exhibit. We hope to bring back our hands-on activity stations later this summer.

Computerized Flight Simulators

9:00am-4:00pm

Newly reopened and modified for social distancing! "Fly" a Cessna 172 form airports around the world using computerized flight simulators. Visitors are strongly encouraged to use our complimentary hand sanitizer before and after using the flight simulators.
