A Five-Part Virtual Webinar Featuring Dr. Michael Winter Senior Fellow, Advanced Technology, Pratt & Whitney

Everything you need to know about the development, inner workings and future of jet engine technology in one course. Presenter Dr. Michael Winter is a recognized leader in sustainable aviation and aerospace propulsion, and currently leads Pratt & Whitney’s technology portfolio. Dr. Winter teaches “Engines 101,” to help people better understand how jet engines function, and what technology changes might take place in the industry that will lead to a more sustainable future. This program is guaranteed to be enlightening for those with or without technical backgrounds, and anyone interested in learning about jet engine technology today and in the future.


The five session dates and topics are:

Wednesday August 18: Global Megatrends
Thursday September 9: Aerodynamics
Wednesday September 29: Shift Towards Sustainability
Wednesday October 20: Manufacturing/Supply Chain 4.0
Wednesday November 10: Keeping the Flying: The Impact of Big Data

Each session will begin at 6:00 p.m. and last between 1 hour and 1 hour 15 minutes.

In addition, a certificate ceremony will he held at the New England Air Museum on Wednesday December 1 for any participants who attend all five virtual sessions.
