The New England Air Museum will hold an Aerospace Industry Business After Hours event
Thursday, November 7, 2019 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Keynote Speaker: Lloyd W. “Fig” Newton
Lloyd W. “Fig” Newton is a retired Executive Vice President of Pratt & Whitney Military Engines. He is also a retired four-star General and command pilot in the U.S. Air Force with a 34½ year distinguished military career and more than 4,000 flying hours. In 1968, Newton flew 269 combat missions in Vietnam. In 1974 he was selected to join the U.S. Air Force Aerial Demonstration Squadron, the Thunderbirds, making him the first African American pilot to fly with this team.
General Newton was inducted into the South Carolina Aviation Hall of Fame in 1998. He currently serves as Board Chair of the National Business Aviation Association and is on the boards of L3 Harris Technologies and Polaris Tech Charter School.
