This homebuilt Goodyear Class racer (Formula 1) was based on plans developed by Robert Rautenstrauch and John Lazor. The plans for their airplane, built in 1971, were reviewed by Howell “Pete” Miller, the designer of the Granville Brothers Gee Bee R-1 racer. Formula 1 racers must not weight less than 500 lbs., have a minimum wing area of 66 sq. ft., and an engine displacement limited to 190 cu. in.
