Thoughts About the 58th:
Interesting note: On August 13, 1945, (near V-J Day) I was in the USA and got married to Peg Stone of South Hadley Falls, MA, in Denver, CO. Our best man was Ernie Brundage. Ernie was Senior Gunner on O'Reilly's Daughter. He had bailed out in China in August 20, 1944, but he made it back to our ceremony!
See Ernie's Story - a booklet about his walk across China in 1944. (Booklet available in 58th Bomb Wing Memorial Office.)
