Thoughts About the 58th:
Comments: For some unknown reason Peter Sabo's name was omitted from the National Archives as being MIA/POW/KIA. Furthermore, the local newspaper in Martins Ferry, Ohio and St. Clairsville, Ohio have no record of him as POW/MIA/KIA. His crew members from the 444th (Missing Air Crew Report 14606) were as follows: 1st Lt. Woodrow B. Palmer; Copilot 2nd Lt. Owen P. Walls; Bombardier 1st Lt. Don A. Coulter; Navigator 2nd Lt. Robert F. Dailey; Flight Engineer M/Sgt Henry T. Farrish; Radio Operator M/Sgt Willard M. Chapman; Gunner Sgt Eugene J. Prouty; Gunner S/Sgt Cleveland T. Niles; Gunner Sgt Peter Sabo; Gunner Sgt Charles A. Heisler. God bless these men for giving their lives for their Country. May they never be forgotten!
