Post WWII Service: Integrated into the regular Air Force in 1947. His Air Force years found him stationed in Puerto Rico, Panama, China, Burma, India, Marianas, Korea and Japan as well as AF bases all over the U.S. He served as Comptroller for major air commands in the US, Japan and Korea but also served as Deputy for Personnel, as Management Analysis Officer, as Intelligence Language Officer, Organizational Commander and as Administrative Staff Officer. Roscoe retired from the Air Force in July 1961.
Post WWII Civilian Occupation(s): General Manager and Vice President of a manufacturing plant in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico. Retired in 1979 and moved to Bradenton, FL.
Thoughts About the 58th:
Comments: Col. Norman died at the age of 85 on September 14, 2001. Funeral services with full military honors were held in March, 2002 at Arlington National Cemetery.
