Thoughts About the 58th: I enlisted in WWII because I was eager to fight for my country against all aggression. I failed pilot training because of my eyes. Therefore, I was sent to schools to work with aircraft as a mechanic, etc. Luckily I wound up with our newest long-range bomber which had a big hand in ending the war.
