Thoughts About the 58th: |
I feel I served my country where I was assigned. War is a very bad thing. I went through some frightening episodes - like our ship being bombed in the Mediterranean on our way to India. After a time there we were sent to the South Pacific. I was on the island of Tinian. The Atomic bomb was sent out from there. We hoped there would be no more war but this does not seem to be the case. |
