Post WWII Civilian Occupation(s): He became a butcher and worked in the meat markets of Bestway and Puckett Food Stores for two years. In 1948 he began a career with the U.S. Postal Service and in 1977 he transferred to Butler, OK as rural mail carrier for almost three years. He retired from the U.S. Post Office in November 0f 1980 and received his 35 year pin for service accomplished with his military service. Following his Postal retirement, he worked over eight years full and part time driving the Bookmobile for the Western Plains Library.
