Thoughts on the 58th Bomb Wing:
I felt a very strong need to serve my country to overcome the threats to our democracy and the western world. My 58th BW experience offered what I felt was a perfect opportunity to inflict maximum pressure on the perpetrators of that threat. I was in the best position to accomplish my objective. I volunteered for combat duty. During my duty as a B-24 Pilot Instructor at Maxwell Field, Alabama
Your efforts to preserve that history is much appreciated.
