Post-WWII Military Service:

Served in the Korean Theater and devoted nine years to the Air Force Recruiting Service, retiring after 22 years of service on August 31, 1964.

Post-WWII Civilian Occupation(s):

He retired from the Postal Service with 18 years of service. He played professional baseball as a pitcher with the Pittsburgh Pirates minor league organization.

He was president of the Indiana County Baseball League for six years and was a scout for the Kansas City Royals. He was inducted into the Indiana County Sports Hall of Fame Class of 2002. He loved to dance and was an avid hunter. 


Mr. Kavulich passed away October 9, 2002 and is buried at St. Bernard of Clairvaux Catholic Church in Indiana, PA
