Bob worked as a Cost Analyst for U.S. Steel in Duquesne, and for Allegheny Ludlum Steel in Watervliet and Leechburg, PA. He was the founder and first President of A-1 Rental, Inc., in Tarentum, PA. He served on the Board of Directors of Peoples' Federal Savings and Loan, Allegheny Valley Development Corp., and Allegheny Valley YMCA. He was a member of the Natrona Heights Presbyterian Church in PA, and Christ Presbyterian Church in Largo, FL, and a member of Riverforest, Brackenridge Heights, and Clearwater Country Clubs.
