Thoughts on the 58th Bomb Wing:

I am proud to have been a part of the 58th Wing during World War II. General Sherman said, "War is Hell." I don't think you could find a better explanation. We did rain hell on the islands of Japan. I am saddened it had to be done, but I have no regrets if it saved the lives of thousands of our young men who would have had to invade the island. I am proud of all the men I served under and with. I don't think you could find a better group of men anywhere. I cherish our freedom more than anything, and would do it again if I could. God Bless the USA.
