Served 17 years in Strategic Air Command. Eight years in B-47s in air crew and various staff jobs at Little Rock AFB and McConnell AFB in Wichita, Kansas. Two years were spent in Plans/Programs Directorate, 13th AF Hqs., Clark Field, Philippines. Spent one year in Vietnam; flew 75 combat missions with the 364 Tactical Electronic Warfare Sqdn. Approximately 10 years in Strategic Air Command Missiles (Titan II) as Missile Crew CO, Director of Plans/Intelligence; Missile Sqdn. Commander; Asst. Deputy CO for Operations Missile Wg.

Thoughts on the 58th Bomb Wing:

I joined the 58th in Tinian on a replacement crew. Thus, I missed the Kansas training and India experiences.
