He began to draw at age six. He received an Art Scholarship to Pratt Institute of Fine Arts beginning 1939. He also studied at the Art Students League with Khosrov Ajootian, William Gorham, Thomas Benrimo, and Alexander Kostellow.

In 1965, Zuckerberg began an association with the Grand Central Art Galleries of the Biltmore Hotel in New York City. He is a member of the American Watercolor Society and the Society of Illustrators and has taught still life and portrait painting on Long Island. He traveled extensively throughout the Orient, Africa and India.

Mr. Zuckerberg was married to famous artist Lillian Chestney. He passed away July 11, 1993. He is buried at New Montefiore Cemetery in Babylon, NY.
