Santa's Visit & Behind the Scenes Tour
On Friday, November 29rd, the day after Thanksgiving, the Museum will hold its annual Santa Visit and Behind the Scenes Tour.
Santa will be making his visit to the Museum to meet and pose for photos with children between 11:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Santa will also have a gift for each child!
The Museum will also be conducting ‘Behind-the-Scenes’ tours of the Museum.
You will be able to tour the Museum’s extensive research library collection which is not normally open to the public.
Visitors will also have the opportunity to take a close-up look at some of the current restoration projects including the P-51D Mustang Thompson Trophy Racer, the Douglas DC-3 passenger aircraft, the Boeing B-29 Superfortress, the U.S. Navy World War II Goodyear Blimp Control Car, the Burnelli CBY-3, several vintage engines and more.
Also, the doors to the storage hangar will be open for viewing inside the newly expanded space. You will be able to see the newly acquired U.S. Coast Guard UH-25A, along with the MiG-15bis, North American B-35, Fairchild Republic A-10, McDonald Douglas F-4D, Republic F-105 Thunderchief, Bell H-13 Sioux (Model 47), Hughes OH-6 Cayuse, Kaman HH-43 Huskie, and a Nixon biplane.
Don’t forget to check out the Museum’s new Flight Sim Spot, an exhibit using the latest in flight simulator software where visitors can virtually fly any aircraft, anywhere using the same cockpit controls that pilots use.
All of the special activities for this day are included with the price of admission.
