about service in the 58th Bomb Wing:
Since Japan attatcked the US, I felt it was my duty to do what needed downe and am proud to say the 58th filled my life in my life travel, education, cooperation and victory.

Comments :
I attended our last 40th Bomb Wing Reunion in New Orleans when they brought "Fi Fi" in. The base commander was standing next to me, "Fi Fi" was going slow and he said "After they get down I'll show you the planes of today!" He sent some over, you could just hear them and away they went. And here was the B-29 of our early life and fast jets of today. What a change!
