Volunteer
The Air Museum has a small paid staff and relies heavily on
the work of volunteers who assist in all areas of the Museum’s
operations.
Opportunities are available from time to time with a number
of programs including our docent / tour guide program, aircraft
and engine restoration, special events, working in the Museum
shop, exhibit development, fund raising and library and curatorial
assistance. If you have an interest please download and
print our Volunteer
Application and mail it to the museum to the attention
of Michael P. Speciale, Museum Director at (860)
623-3305 or by e-mail.
Examples of Volunteer Opportunities:

our many aircraft and engines. No aviation experience necessary,
just basic mechanical skills.

the year. From greeting visitors to setting up tables and chairs.
THE MUSEUM SHOP- assisting
with front desk admissions, phone coverage, and gift shop sales.
EXHIBIT DEVELOPMENT- from
the research and development of the exhibits, to the design
and fabrication.
LIBRARY CURATORIAL ASSISTANCE
– assistance is needed in cataloging our vast collection
of books and historical documents.

our fund raising campaigns.
