Worked as a plumber with his father and then for Hyde Plumbing and Heating until he retired. He was an engineer and pilot on the Chautauqua Belle and a supporter of the Sea Lion. He was a member of the 58th Bomb Wing Association, a life time member of the William L. Travis American Legion, the Mayville VFW, former member of the Portage Trail Camping Club, the Mayville Historical Society, the Mayville Senior Citizens and the Mayville United Methodist Church.
