| Thoughts on the 58th Bomb Wing: |
|
I am greatly honored to be able to have been of service to my country. Never would I have had the honor of meeting, training with, being with, living with, flying combat with such a great, great bunch of men whom I deem my brothers, not my comrades.
It gives me great pleasure to say that to this day, the year 2003, I am still in contact with my brothers at our yearly reunions and throughout the year via the telephone and mail. It is hard to believe that in our early twenties and younger, we performed with such perfection, which led to our ultimate goal of final victory over the Japanese!! |
