Thoughts on the 58th Bomb Wing:
Many happy thoughts. I entered the service as an 18 year old boy. I came home a wiser, more knowledgeable man. Glad I served. I appreciate life a lot more now.

Comments:
If my record looks confusing, it is because I flew three combat mission out of India then the crew was sent to China to join the 1st Photo Recon. Sqdrn. Later upon returning to India was sent to Guam to join the 3rd Photo Recon. Sqdrn. I asked to be transferred to a Bomb Group and was sent to Tinian to join the 6th Bomb Group, 40th Sqdrn. And the war ended.

I did not train with a Sqdrn. Went overseas in a single replacement plane. I did not stay anywhere long enough to make long term friends.
