Thoughts on the 58th Bomb Wing:
On flight back to India from Chengtu, China, on June 8, 1944, engine exploded and crew forced to bail out. After a 29-day walk, crew walked halfway back to China base and got a flight back to China base. The group later transferred to Tinian Island and helped in surrender of Japan.
