Thoughts on the 58th Bomb Wing:

Comments:
Cactus Special Crew: Pilot- Cactus Van Horne (Maj.); Claude Posey; R T Young; H C Peterson, L B Tuck; "Trigger" Bodart; "Strap" Palin; "Bomb Door" Burt.  On one mission over China, he was shot down over the mainland of China and spent three weeks eluding the Japanese patrols (and dogs) by living in the swamps where contracted amoebic dysentery, which nearly killed him. He and several other crewmen finally made it to the coast where they were picked up by a submarine.

Died 7/27/1967 of cancer. Survived by Louise D. Henderson (wife), Ross K. & Doris L. Henderson (children)
