| Thoughts on the 58th Bomb Wing: |
| While I would not want to go through it again and I hope that my grandchildren never have to go to war, it was a truly wonderful experience to be a part of the effort to win WWII. I was only 19 years old and yet had very great responsibility. It was a very maturing experience. I would not trade it for anything. I am proud to have served my country -- I hope well.
It also enabled me to receive five full school years in college through the GI Bill of Rights.
