Thoughts on the 58th Bomb Wing:
While reticent about the war and its horrors, he was always proud to have served with men of the 58th in general and the men of the 462nd "Hellbirds" in particular. So proud that he registered both my sister Margaret and I as "Fledglings" early in the program and made sure that we knew about the group.

Comments:
Last year (2008) I was priviledged to attend my first 58th BW reunion and this year 2009,, I plan to attend and by brothers and sisters are in the process of trying to arrange to do the same. Additionally, my daughter her husband and the grand daughter that started this whole renewal of interest in the 462nd and Dad's participation in its missions.
