| Thoughts on the 58th Bomb Wing: |
| Major Norman E. Pickard is very proud to have served his country. |

| Comments: |
|
The following is a story Norm enjoyed telling: One night he was assigned the duty of guarding his airplane. In addition, guarding the general area of the field were some of the famous fierce Indian Gurkha fighters. During the night of duty, Norm, in order to rest his feet, sat down and leaned his back against the nose wheel. There was absolute silence. Suddenly Norm felt a tap on his shoulder. When he glanced up a voice (with a smile in it) asked, "Time, Sahib?"
Mr. Pickard passed away March 7, 2009 at Olympia, WA.
