Thoughts on the 58th Bomb Wing:

Comments:

I went into the Army Air Corps as a Cadet and after 12 weeks of Army Basic Training in Amarillo, TX, I was told they had plenty of Pilots, Navigators and Bombardiers and I was going to gunnery school at Fort Myers, Florida.

B-29 training at McDill Field, Tampa, as a Tail Gunner -- Kearney, Neb. -- California -- Guam -- Tinian -- Saipan -- Shipped home on Marine Dragon, a Merchant Marine ship -- Oakland, CA -- Fort Bliss, TX.
