| Thoughts on the 58th Bomb Wing: |
| I am proud to have been in the 58th Bomb Wing. Although I drove trucks all my B-29 service, I was next to a lot of important action in WW II. Saw the fat bomb being loaded in Tinian. Got to ride over Tokyo when the surrender was signed. Also proud to be a member of the CBI organization. Was pleased to serve under Col. Edmundson and General LeMay.
Another proud spell: Although there is no record, I did basic and advanced training with the Airborne Engineers at Westover Field, MA. This was the glider group that ended up in Assam, Burma. It was discontinued as we were due for glider training.
