| Thoughts on the 58th Bomb Wing: |
| It is satisfying to look back and appreciate taking part in the development of the B-29 aircraft in the war against Japan. Part of this experience was participating in one of the longest bombing missions of the war -- the mission from Ceylon (Sri Lanka) to Sumatra which covered 3,760 miles and took 19 hours. |
