Thoughts on the 58th Bomb Wing:
My military service was an unforgettable experience, especially so as a member of the 58th B.W.Some of the outstanding events that I was privy to as a member of a flight combat crew are:

1. Prior to our first bombing mission over Japan being briefed by Lord Louis Mountbatten.

2. Photo mission of the Philippines required by General MacArthur prior to the invasion.

3. The many flights over Formosa.

4. Flying the "Hump"

5. All the combat missions that we completed.
