Thoughts on the 58th Bomb Wing:
When I volunteered for the Paratroops I knew I had stepped into it. Then when I found out this Bomber Group needed my services, I knew the Lord had given me a reprieve. Then I stepped out of the ship into India.

Comments:
My father is suffering from dementia now and I filled out this form as best I could for him. I know he flew on a mission to mine the Mekong River and crashed on a river in Burma when they ran out of gas. He was in the Yawata and Anshan raids. He flew in several "hump" missions -- Indo-China, China and Japan. He flew in four missions on B-24's.
