| Thoughts on the 58th Bomb Wing: |
I consider it a great honor to be a member of the 58th Bomb Wing family. I will always be thankful for that opportunity. We came to Tinian determined that we would give our best effort to end the war and return to our families as soon as possible.
Captain Burnor added the element that has always been most meaningful to me. For that desire to be realized we must work together and always concentrate on the task at hand. Captain Paul J. Burnor was the leader you wanted to follow. A great man and excellent commander.

Mr. Steed passed away June 30th 2012. He is buried at the Raleigh Memorial Park in Raleigh, NC
