| Thoughts on the 58th Bomb Wing: |
| Most memorable thoughts are: First mission to Japan at Yawata on 6/14/44. Two emergency landings at Chunking and Xian when we could not reach base due to aircraft damage. The tremendous updraft experienced on second fire bomb mission to Tokyo will always be with me .Most meaningful are friendships with crew members that I developed. They have lasted over 50 years due to yearly reunions. |
