Thoughts on the 58th Bomb Wing:
The older I get the prouder I feel that I was a member of the Great 468th. We miss the 243 men that gave their lives - GOD BLESS THEM ONE AND ALL. Heroes of the 468th we salute you. We will not forget you.

Comments:
Pengshan, China - 1944. Two of the best pilots and men we had were Col. Clinksdale and Maj. Humphrey. I admired them and after 60 years I can still see them talking and laughing, walking away from the tower after a mission like it was yesterday. I recall the time Maj. Humphrey buzzed the tower and almost took my eyebrows off. What a great Pilot!!!!!!! On August 20, 1944 Col. Robert Clinksdale was KIA. On January 11, 1945 Maj. Humphrey was shot down and survived. I heard he was doing well today. GOD BLESS THEM.
