| Thoughts on the 58th Bomb Wing: |

| Though the war ended shortly after we arrived at West Field, at the age of 21 it was an interesting experience. Since the 444th was one of the oldest B-29 groups and eleven missions qualified, I was in the second wave of 10 to fly home to Mathis Field. Moved to Castle Field, Merced, California. Discharged from there. |
