The engine frame stand was fitted with a cosmetically restored Packard Merlin 1650-225 engine and all engine cowling formers were fitted on the engine frame. A pair of front engine mounts were fabricated before installing the engine in the frame. Our thanks go out to NEAM member/volunteer Walt Wennberg who donated the machine time for these mounts. The engine cowlings (top and side) were test fitted and removed for surface preparation and priming. A coat of white epoxy primer was applied.
