The Museum will be closed on Mondays from November through May.

It is also closed on Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Day.
The Museum will close at 3:00 p.m. on the day before Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve.

Directions and Parking

The New England Air Museum is situated adjacent to the Bradley International Airport in Windsor Locks, Connecticut midway between Hartford, Connecticut and Springfield, Massachusetts.
Take I-91 North or South to Exit 40 (Route 20). Take second right exit off Route 20 and turn right onto Route 75 North. Continue for 2.8 miles. Take left at Museum sign onto Perimeter Rd for 1.7 miles. The Museum will be on the right.
If you are coming from Bradley International Airport, follow the signs to Route 75 and turn left and head east onto Schoephoester Rd. Turn left onto Route 75 North. Drive 2.2 miles and turn left onto Perimeter Rd. at the Museum sign.
FREE onsite parking and plenty of room for buses.

There are a number of hotels in the local area. The Museum works with the Hampton Inn in Windsor, CT, and you can find information on the Hampton Inn here.

When staying at the area hotels, ask if they have a courtesy shuttle to the Museum as many of them offer this service.

Fly In

Signature Flight Support 860-623-3940 and TAC Air 860-627-3300 provide courtesy shuttle service to the Museum or visit for more information.


We have a small dining area with vending machines offering snacks and beverages. (Prior arrangements can be made for large groups.)
We have picnic tables in our outside yard available in fair weather.
A variety of restaurants can be found on nearby Route 75.


A large parking area for the handicapped is available close to the entrance.
Wheelchairs may be checked out at our Admissions Counter. There is a powered wheelchair subject to availability. The Museum is situated in three large exhibit hangars which are easily navigable.
Our restrooms and drinking fountains are handicapped accessible.

Wings 'n' Things Gift Shop

Our gift shop is designed to please all visitors from toddlers to seniors, male and female. The merchandise we offer entertains, educates, and enriches. We stock hundreds of military pins and patches as well as one-of-a kind models, books, DVDs, toys, clothing, jewelry, unusual ornaments, magnets, keychains, and glassware.—all at reasonable prices.
Open during museum hours, daily 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (except Easter, Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Year's Day)

You can purchase a gift certificate here which may be used as the Air Museum for admission or gift shop merchandise.
