Thoughts on the 58th Bomb Wing:

Thank the Lord -- Good Crew -- Good Airplane

The history of ROUND TRIP TICKET one of the first group of B-29's to fly over Japan: 37 Hump crossings; 12 completed missions -- approximately 800 hours. Lost on 13th mission, December 7, 1944.

Major Barnes and crew were flying the plane on that day while the original crew were flying another plane. Target Mukden, Manchuria. Oldest combat ship in group at the time lost.

Major Blackwell, Original Pilot; Lt. Homer Dickenson , Flight Engineer; Co-Pilot Gourley; Navigator Backmann.
