He was a projectionist at the former Palace Theatre and the former Jackson Drive-In Theatre. He worked 37 years as a machinist at the former Jackson Hosiery Plant and 11 years at the former Lenco Inc., now Lenco Electronics, retiring July 1, 1988.

Alvin had many hobbies including photography; lapidary, which is the art of grinding and polishing semiprecious stones; and traveling extensively worldwide. He was a member of Altenthal-Joerns American Legion Post 158 in Jackson and a charter member of the former Jackson Camera Club.
Comments:
Mr. Kamp passed away April 7, 2012.  He is buried at Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson, MO.
