Post-WWII Military Service:

Appointed to Reserve Status 12/14/45. Called to active duty 3/15/51. On 4/3/51 my recall to active duty was cancelled at the request of the area Naval Inspector of Ordinance because of my work on ship-board installations and at-sea verifications of the new MK-102 Fire Control Systems for submarines.

Post-WWII Civilian Occupation(s):

Returned to Cooper Union Institute and obtained a degree in Electrical Engineering in June, 1950. Became employed at ARMA Corp., Brooklyn, NY. Worked on design portions then final factory tests. Supervised ship-board installations of the MK-101 and MK-102 Fire Control Systems with at-sea tests. Later, at ARMA, I worked a couple of years on the B-52 Tail Gun System until AF acceptance. After that, I worked nine years on the Lunar Module at Grumman.

Thoughts on the 58th Bomb Wing:

To this day, I have satisfaction in the fact that I had a direct involvement in taking the war back to the homeland of the enemy. And, in itself, flying in the B-29 all around the world was an exhilarating experience.
