Thoughts on the 58th Bomb Wing:
I guess I was lucky to get into something like the 58th compared to all those G.I.s who went to Europe in wintertime.
 
Comments:
I guess the best thing I remember was when Truman had nerve enough to use the bomb. He saved more Americans than he will ever know. They sure kept that a great secret until they dropped it.

Mr. Sickler passed away May 25, 2012 in Hamburg, IA. He is buried at Rose Hill Cemetery in Shenandoah, IA.
